Call Congress to Reject Trump's Budget Cuts to PEPFAR & the Global Fund
President Trump’s first budget is out, and it would have dire consequences for people living with HIV. In addition to slashing funding for President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR) and the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria by 17%, it would eliminate all funding for the International AIDS Vaccine Initiative and make $1.08 billion in death-dealing cuts across the board to global health programs that save lives and prevent the spread of HIV.
Now the ball is in Congress' court, and can stop this deadly budget plan. As chairs of Appropriations, Senator Thad Cochran and Representative Rodney Frelinghuysen decide the overall budget for every area of spending, including global health. Fill out the form below to be connected to their offices and ask them to reject the White House’s dangerous cuts to PEPFAR, the Global Fund, and to protect essential global health programs.
